Accessing Manual Recording

Navigate to manual recording options through your Genie remote and on-screen menu.

1. Press MENU on your Genie remote control.
2. Select "Manage Recordings" from the main menu.
3. Choose "Manual Record" or "Schedule Recording".
4. Use arrow keys to navigate and SELECT to choose options.

NOTE: Ensure your Genie receiver is connected to satellite signal and has available tuners for recording.

Setting Up Manual Recordings

Follow these steps to create manual recordings on your DIRECTV Genie system.

1. From GUIDE: Highlight program, press RECORD, select "Record Once" or "Record Series".
2. Manual Setup: MENU > Manage Recordings > Manual Record.
3. Enter channel number or select from channel list.
4. Set start date and time using on-screen keyboard.
5. Specify duration (hours and minutes).
6. Choose recording quality (Good, Better, Best).
